A good bag is not only the finishing touch to your look, but it is also a long-term companion. But whether it's made of artificial leather, PU, canvas, or leather, bags need the right maintenance to prolong their life and keep them looking as good as new. The following is BONECLOCK for you to collate the details of women's bag maintenance and attention:

✅ 1. Avoid direct sunlight and high-temperature environments
Prolonged exposure to sunlight or being placed in high temperatures (such as inside the car) can easily lead to deformation, discoloration, or aging of the material. It is recommended to store in a cool and dry place, avoid close to heating, electrical appliances, and other heat sources.

✅ 2. Regular Cleaning, Gentle Treatment
PU / Artificial Leather Bags: You can use a soft, damp cloth to gently wipe the surface, if necessary, with a mild detergent; it is not recommended to use alcohol, cleaning foam, or other harsh products.

Canvas/nylon: Wipe gently with a damp cloth dampened with diluted soapy water, avoid soaking and machine washing.

Suede/tumbled leather: It is recommended to use a special suede brush or dry towel to gently brush with the grain, and it should not be wet.

✅ 3. Pay attention to the storage method
When the bag is not in use, please put it into a dust bag and stuff it with paper balls or foam to keep the shape of the bag.

Avoid prolonged contact with dark coloured clothes/items to prevent staining.

When not carrying it for a long time, take it out and ventilate it every 2-3 months to prevent a mouldy smell or a sticky leather surface.

✅ 4. Tips for Daily Use
Try to avoid overloading the bag with heavy or sharp objects to avoid deformation or scratching the lining.

Try to avoid using non-waterproof materials on rainy days. If wet, please wipe with a dry cloth and dry naturally as soon as possible.

Regularly put some petroleum jelly or zip wax on the zip and fastener to prevent snagging and oxidation.

✅ 5. About Odour and Maintenance Cycle
If there is a slight material odour when you receive a new bag, it is normal and can be dissipated by ventilating for a few days.

It is recommended to carry out basic cleaning and maintenance every 3-6 months, and the common models depend on the frequency of use.
